January 2012: Hellos and Goodbyes

The Shrack house quietly said hello to 2012 by sleeping! We didn’t stay up to see the ball drop or to listen to all the crazy noises outside…I did send a few texts to my siblings, but all in all it was a wonderfully quiet night!

We celebrated the life of Ruth Shrack, Ryan’s Great Grandmother, who passed away this month. Grandma Shrack was 102 years young. She was a beautiful woman who was really with it. Her passing was bittersweet because we were losing an amazing woman, but we know she’s home and at peace. 102 years is a long time and I know she probably missed the many people that went before her. I know that the reunion with her loved ones was a joyous one. Lots of family got together to celebrate grandma’s life and visiting with everyone and meeting some folks for the first time was wonderful. So there are TONS of photos that were taken during the funeral, burial and other family gathering while everyone was here…far too many to count so here are just a few.

Here are photos of Great Grandma's Farm that she lived in up until she passed away

These are photos of Ryan's Dad's Family. Ryan's Grandpa (Harvey) Shrack with all 6 of his kids and the other photo is of Grandpa Shrack with his children and the grandchildren who were able to come back....Harvey as LOTS more grandchildren they just weren't all able to make it down.

The week following the funeral, Ryan’s job had him attend a weeklong conference in Muncie so we tagged a long and stayed in the hotel with him. It was so much fun. Annalyse got to swim and she LOVES hotels…she just has so much fun in them. Since we were in Muncie we got to see a lot of Ryan’s family and we went down to Anderson to visit family my family too! We had so much fun.
