Tooth and Photo Shoot.

We've been very busy in 2014, but just haven't had time to blog about anything in the past 9 months. I wish we I had time to fill you in on the last 10 months of our life, but it just isn't possible.  We've had our ups, our downs, laughs and tears, but all in all we've been okay. Some days, there are more tears than giggles, but our life right now really couldn't get much better.  I do which we had written more this year, but I'm going to try to do much better.
The day after Bug turned 5 ( Let that sink in for a second...Bug is 5!!!) , she lost her first baby tooth. We thought for sure she'd loose it before her birthday because it had been loose for so long, but it was stubborn. The Tooth Fairy visited our house twice in August. The first visit was 5 quarters (since Bug turned 5 the day before) and the second was just a couple of quarters. This tooth fairy gig is still pretty new to us, but it was a lot of fun too. We recently downloaded a ton of pictures from our SD cards to our external hard drive so there aren't a lot of pictures readily available.

We were in the process of ordering invitations for the twins' 1st Birthday party and wanted to include a photo of each of the babies on the invite.  We found a really cute Mickey & Minnie twin invite in an Etsy shop and we fell in love with it. Below are pics from the little photo shoot Ryan and I did in the backyard for the picture.

Funny Face is a happy-go-with-the-flow kind of gal.  She doesn't fuss much (unless she's hungry, tired, or dirty). She's a quiet observer and doesn't talk much unless she really has something to say.  She's really close to walking and we're shocked she hasn't done it yet.  She's partial steps once or twice, but hasn't taken any completed ones yet. She loves to play with her Big Sister and likes to take things from her brother. She can do peek-a-boo, clap, and occasionally blow a kiss, but, unlike her brother, won't do it for others when you ask.

This Little Man is almost the exact opposite of his twin! He loves to talk, he's "High Maintenance" and like to be in the middle of everything. He loves to talk, scream, cry whatever he thinks will bring the most attention form whomever is around.  He sometimes comes across as a trained monkey because he's so willing to show off all the tricks he's figured out.  He's new favorite is giving 'fives'. Unlike his sister, he hasn't shown an interest in walking...unless someone holds his hand while he goes across the room. Definitely no interest of doing it on his own.

There is never a dull moment in our house! There's always someone doing something clamoring for attention. Despite all the ups and downs-we've got a good life. We love one another, we know that the Lord has blessed us beyond measure, and we've got each other.

  1. Being busy means you're being productive, and I'm always glad to know that everyone is making the most out of life. Hahaha! Anyway, Bug sure is adorable. I'm sure she got very excited about her meeting with the tooth fairy. Also, the twins are super cute. Thanks for that update, Betty! All the best to you and your family! :)

  2. The tooth fairy gig could actually be very fun, and you get to make children happy, despite having just lost one of their teeth. Anyway, how is Bug doing nowadays? I hope her tooth was able to grow without any problems. Thanks for sharing this with us, Betty. Have a great day!
